It circles the earth every 90 minutes giving the astronauts on board 16 sunrise and sunsets every day, the massive station travels at a speed of approximately 28,000 km per hour.

“The space station is visible because it reflects the light of the sun the same reason we can see the moon. However, unlike the moon the space station isn’t bright enough to see during the day. It can only be seen when it is dawn or dusk at your location as such, it can range from one sighting opportunity a month to several a week, since it has to be both dark where you are and the space station has to happen to going overhead”, the NASA website adds.

If the 51.6 digress is beyond north or south of the equator the ISS will never appear directly overhead. The ISS flyover along with how long it is visible, the maximum height it will reach in the sky and which direction it will reach in the sky and which direction it will appear and disappear from the view.
